Dr. Courtney Holmes, APRN (she/her) is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, working as the medical director and owner of Milford Med Spa. She maintains the highest safety protocol appropriate to the profession.
Courtney is an experienced and trained Adult Nurse Practitioner, skilled in medical aesthetic treatments. She is disciplined in the application of neuromodulators, dermal fillers, Kybella, PDO Threads, Sculptra, microneedling, and body sculpting.
Likewise, Courtney has an abundance of experience in the field of acupuncture. She is a member of the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics and completed the CT Acupuncture Certification Program. Prior to opening Milford Med Spa, she worked a national level med spa, providing quality services and after completing her injectables training program.
Previously, she served for more than a decade as a wound care specialist, with experience in conservative sharp debridement. She continually receives education and training from experts in the field regarding the latest innovations in the field.
Courtney grew up in Milford, CT, attending Orchard Hills Elementary School, being part of its last(!) graduating 8th grade class. After, she attended Lauralton Hall and was awarded the Rosa DeLauro Community Service Award her senior year. She then went on to earn her B.A. in Philosophy at Smith College and a B.S. in Nursing at John Hopkins University. Her graduate education involves earning a Master’s of Nursing from John Hopkins University, and then a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Quinnipiac University.
LGBTQ+ affirming care is Courtney’s passion and she uses this drive to work towards being the go-to provider in CT for gender-affirming non-surgical facial masculinizing and feminizing treatments. Courtney identifies as pansexual and volunteers in a number of LGBTQ+ organizations and community events. She is a member of TransPACT, a community support group for parents of transgender and gender non-conforming children. Additionally, she’s led a number of events to support the LGBTQ+ community. She has organized a local community holiday dinner for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, guided her faith community towards open and affirming mindsets, and wrote letters for the Your Holiday Mom initiative. Finally, in addition to her role at Milford Med Spa, she also provides mental health medication management for LGBTQ+ adults in conjunction with Holistic Healing Partners, LLC.
Courtney currently lives in Milford with her husband, her two children, her dad, and her fur babies – a Chihuahua (Buffy) and a Mini Schnauzer (Daphne). She enjoys learning new things, listening to electronic dance music, applying mindfulness meditation, cooking, and immersing herself in the beauty of nature to recharge and restore.
