Unlike lifting threads, smooth threads are tiny, dissolvable sutures that stimulate collagen production beneath the skin, gradually improving texture, firmness, and elasticity.

✧ What Are Smooth Threads?
Smooth threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO) — the very same dissolvable stitches used in surgery. They are completely safe, biocompatible, and naturally absorbed by the body over time.
Instead of lifting tissue, smooth threads are placed just beneath the surface of the skin where they act as a collagen trigger, encouraging your body to repair and regenerate. As the threads dissolve, your own collagen remains, leaving skin firmer, smoother, and more youthful.
They are especially effective for:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Crepey or thinning skin
Overall smoothness and elasticity
Skin “crepe” under the eyes, around the mouth, or on the neck
⚠️ Who should not have smooth threads?
If you have a history of keloid scarring, uncontrolled autoimmune conditions, or active skin infections, smooth threads may not be the right option for you.
✧ Areas We Treat with Smooth Threads
Under-Eyes — soften crepey texture and fine lines. While effective, this is an area where PRFM is often a better choice due to being gentler and carrying a lower risk of bruising.
Cheeks — improve elasticity and refine tone
Marionette & Smile Lines — soften static wrinkles
Neck & Décolleté — smooth and rejuvenate delicate skin (bye-bye turkey neck and tech neck)
Smoker’s Lines — my preferred treatment for vertical lip lines, with PRFM as a close second. Both approaches improve fine, etched lines around the mouth.

Important Note on Healing:
Both under-eye and smoker’s lines treatments carry a higher risk of bruising compared to other areas. PRFM is more gentle and may bruise less, but both treatments can cause visible marks. Clients should allow up to 2 weeks of healing time before any major events if bruising occurs.

Collagen isn’t just about softening lines — it’s also the key to repairing scars. Smooth threads can be strategically placed beneath acne scars, surgical scars, or other textural irregularities to help remodel the skin from the inside out.

Threads act as a framework that stimulates new collagen fibers in and around scar tissue
Remodeling gradually fills depressions, softens rough texture, and blends scar edges into the surrounding skin
Smooth threads may be used alone or paired with SkinPen® microneedling, PRFM, or chemical peels for enhanced scar improvement.
⚠️ As with delicate areas like the lips and under-eyes, scars treated with smooth threads can bruise. We recommend planning 2 weeks of healing time before major events.

Recommended Treatment Course:
For best results, we suggest a series of 3 smooth thread treatments, spaced at least 1 month apart. Collagen continues to develop after each session, with full results visible about 3 months after your final treatment.

Smooth threads are customized based on the number of threads placed.
Standalone Treatment: $150 per visit + $9 per thread
Add-On Pricing: $9 per thread when paired with filler, tox, or microneedling (no visit fee)
Example: Turkey Neck Tightening uses ~20 threads → $150 visit fee + $180 threads = $330 per session
Recommended course: 3 treatments, spaced at least 1 month apart, with full results visible about 3 months after your final session.
