Sex Changes After 35. Silence Shouldn’t Be Part of It.
Desire can change. Arousal can feel different. Hormone shifts may affect libido, orgasm, comfort, energy, confidence and connection. Yet many people enter midlife without ever being told what is happening or what support may be available.
Join Dr. Courtney Holmes, APRN, DNP, and Ashley Fox, LPN, Sex Therapy Practitioner, for a candid, inclusive and shame-free conversation about sex after 35.
We’ll explore how hormones, health, stress, relationships and changing bodies shape our sexual experiences, and how pleasure and intimacy can evolve rather than disappear.
Come alone, bring a partner or gather your friends. You do not need to be a Milford Med Spa patient, and you will never be expected to share anything personal.

Meet the Featured Speakers
Founder & Medical Director
Menopause & Hormone Care Specialist
Dr. Courtney Holmes, APRN is the owner and medical director of Milford Med Spa. With more than two decades of advanced-practice nursing experience, Courtney brings medical knowledge and personal passion to conversations about hormone changes, sexual function, menopause, testosterone and midlife vitality.
Her goal is to give adults the information they need to better understand their bodies, ask informed questions and advocate for individualized care.
Why This Event Is Personal to Me
“I am 48 and two years into menopause. I have also been dating my husband for 30 years and identify as pansexual, so I understand personally that sexuality, intimacy and relationships do not all follow one prescribed path.
When my hormones began changing in my mid-thirties, the effects reached beyond hot flashes and insomnia. My desire, intimacy and sense of connection changed, and my relationship with my spouse suffered.
Receiving hormone care helped me feel more like myself again and gave my spouse and me a path toward reconnecting, both emotionally and sexually.
My husband will be at the event and will contribute to the discussion by sharing his experience from the partner’s perspective. Current patients receiving hormone care will also share their own experiences with changes in desire, intimacy, confidence and connection.
That is why Sex Over 35 matters so deeply to me. This is not simply a professional presentation. It is a conversation I have lived, and one my spouse and I are willing to have honestly with others.”
~ Dr. Courtney Holmes, APRN, DNP
Intimacy, Pleasure and Communication
Ashley Fox brings together clinical nursing, intimacy education and a lifelong connection to sex-positive wellness.
Her perspective was shaped by growing up within the legacy of her grandmother’s Rena’s Ultra Boutique, the groundbreaking Seymour, Connecticut adult boutique that served customers beginning in 1971.
Ashley’s approachable, shame-free style creates space for honest conversations about desire, pleasure, communication, body confidence and the ways our sexual needs can evolve throughout adulthood.
A Connecticut Sex-Positive Legacy
Long before sexual wellness became part of mainstream healthcare, Rena’s Ultra Boutique provided Connecticut adults with a place to explore intimacy, expression and pleasure.
Ashley’s family connection to Rena’s gives “Sex Over 35” a distinctly Connecticut story: one generation helped make adult intimacy products more accessible; the next is bringing those conversations into modern health and wellness care.

Clinical Insight. Practical Support. Real Experiences.
Kelly Cahill, LPN
Certified Menopause Coach
Kelly will provide practical insight into recognizing menopause symptoms, preparing for medical appointments and advocating for knowledgeable, compassionate care.
Real Patients. Real Relationships. Real Experiences.
Some of our current hormone-care patients were so excited about this event that they volunteered to share their own experiences.
Women and men receiving care through Milford Med Spa will be present to contribute in their own words how hormonal symptoms affected their sex lives, confidence, well-being and relationships, what led them to seek help and what changed after receiving care.
Their participation will give attendees something that clinical education alone cannot provide: an honest look at what these changes can feel like inside a real body and a real relationship.
Every person’s medical needs and response to treatment are different. Patient experiences are personal and do not guarantee similar results.
Anonymous Audience Q&A
Attendees will have an opportunity to ask honest questions anonymously. Curiosity is welcome. Shame is not.
What We’ll Talk About
Hormones and the Body
Learn how estrogen, progesterone and testosterone may influence libido, arousal, orgasm, vaginal and genital comfort, erections, energy, mood and confidence.
Desire and Pleasure
Discover why desire changes, how responsive desire differs from spontaneous desire and why a changing sex life does not have to mean the end of a satisfying one.
Intimacy and Communication
Explore practical ways to talk about changing needs, reduce shame and remain connected within long-term, new and evolving relationships.
Hormone Care and Sexual Wellness
Understand what hormone care may help, what it cannot solve by itself and why thoughtful medical evaluation should consider the whole person—not simply a laboratory number.
Could Hormones Be Affecting How You Feel?
Changes in desire, sexual function, energy, mood, sleep and physical comfort can have many possible causes. A comprehensive hormone evaluation can help identify whether hormonal changes may be contributing to what you are experiencing.
Our care is individualized, medically supervised and inclusive. We do not make assumptions about your sexuality, gender identity, partner or relationship structure.
Testosterone Care for Men
Changing testosterone levels may affect desire, erections, energy, mood, confidence and overall well-being. Learn about our comprehensive evaluation process and individualized testosterone care for men.
Hormone Care for Women
Perimenopause and menopause can affect libido, vaginal comfort, orgasm, sleep, energy, mood and connection. Learn how Milford Med Spa evaluates estrogen, progesterone and testosterone and supports women through these transitions.
Hormonal symptoms can have multiple causes. Medical evaluation is required, and treatment recommendations are based on each patient’s history, laboratory findings, symptoms, safety and clinical eligibility.
Attendee-Exclusive $100 Hormone Health Credit
Eligible new hormone-care patients who attend Sex Over 35 will receive $100 toward either:
An initial private-pay hormone evaluation; or
The first three months of private-pay hormone care after medical eligibility has been established.
Attendees must book their appointment by October 29, 2026, which is 30 days following the event.
Medical evaluation is required. Treatment is based on clinical eligibility and is not guaranteed. New hormone-care patients only. The credit cannot be combined with other promotions and has no cash value.
Plus: Adult-Wellness Door Prizes
Limited adult-wellness door prizes featuring personal lubricant and other fun surprises will be available while supplies last.
Come Curious. Leave Informed.
Sexuality is a healthy part of the human experience at every age. Sex Over 35 is designed for adults of all genders, sexual orientations and relationship structures.
